... because it's still well over 90 degrees farenheit, and it makes it really hard work. Yes, the weeds are busy. Yes, it's going to be a big job when it does cool down. Yes, the aubergines are going mad still. No, the tomatoes didn't do so well this year. Yes, I really did find two earwigs right inside a kabocha squash and no they were not squash bugs, they were earwigs!
Hoed a couple of rows: sowed cabbage seeds and lettuce and mesclun mix and swede. Covered some with plastic mesh and poked bamboo sticks into other beds, hoping they'd distract the turkeys (who have decided it's fun to lay down on and otherwise crush the squash plants).
I'm sure it will be cooler soon-enough.
